My name is Barbara, Alsatian painter. Always passionate about art, my first works were portraits that I sold at the age of fifteen.
Museums and libraries quickly become my homes where I learn, question myself and search for myself through poetic works, illustrations and art manuals from all eras. A love for ancient civilizations was born, guiding my path towards a faculty of archeology and art history.
Over the years, I build my universe drawing here and there from texts, paintings and beliefs offering myself an ideal color palette.
Without knowing it, I have built around me a world of my own, a world that only exists through my thoughts.
_ ARTISTIC THEME _
An island in the sky
The island is a symbol of peace. Her grace and purity suspend time.
In her poetic calm, she sings in the wind of forgotten memories. It allows you to take an initiatory journey to talk to yourself. It is a stolen innocence, a desire to find oneself, to be in agreement with one's vision of the world.
A lost paradise of serenity, its waterfall reminds us that a fall is an opportunity to get up better and get your head out of the water like a newborn. It is a peaceful reconstruction in an idyllic place which is none other than a self exploring its interior, while the world below is restless.
Freed and free, she flies over a meta world in which there is no longer any place for her. It questions our relationship between man and nature, giving rise to a new era.
