Martinique

Bernard BONVENT, visual artist from Martinique, born in 1971 in Trois Ilets. He graduated from the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fort de France and resides in the capital. In 1982, he obtained the first prize in Martinique and fourth at the national level for the realization of a work against tobacco. numerous exhibitions in various places in the West Indies under his favorite theme "the West Indian tradition".

2001: He creates "The Committee for Social Development and the Arts (CO.DSA).

2001 to 2008: Producer and host of the weekly socio-cultural program "Art au pluriel" broadcast on the local channel Zouk TV.

2002: He sets up an artistic training organization in the commune of François (OFBB)

2008: Creation of the ARTV Caribbean association, highlights art and prevention.

2013 -2019: Director of the artistic report "Sur le Vif" broadcast on the KMT channel.

Bernard BONVENT is an illustrator who participates in literary works such as "The great book of creole proverbs" by Raphaël CONFIANT in 2004 - Published by Presses du Châtelet-France. "The maxi Creole proverb ... And many other writers such : Jean- François LIENEFA, André LEDOUX, JALA ...
