In the high deserts of New Mexico, the summer flowers flourish. Mullen stalks may grow to 7 feet. When a bunch of Mullein rises out of the grass, standing next to them I felt small.
With many rains this year, they seemed to grow on and on, well watered in the nourishing sunshine and warm nights
