Biography of Nati Shohat
In 1987, Nati Shohat started his career as a photojournalist in an Israeli photo agency.
In 1990, while he was only 23 years old, he opened his own photo agency FLASH90, with Maariv, one of the biggest daily newspapers in Israel, as his first client.
In 2001, he won the POY (Picture of the Year) with his picture of the Suicide Bombing in Sbarro Pizzeria in Jerusalem.
He participated in many exhibitions throughout the world.
His pictures were published in Israel and worldwide in many magazines, newspapers and books.
Today, he lives in the Jerusalem suburbs, with his wife and 3 daughters.

C’est en 1987 que Nati Shohat a commencé sa carrière de photojournaliste dans une agence de photo de presse israélienne.
En 1990, alors qu’il n’avait que 23 ans, il a ouvert sa propre agence de photo FLASH90, avec Maariv comme premier gros client, un des plus grands journaux quotidiens en Israël.
En 2001, il a gagne le prix de la Photo de l’année dans le cadre du POY (Picture of the Year), plus grand concours international de photo-journalisme avec sa photo de l’attentat suicide la Pizzeria Sbarro a Jérusalem.
Il a participe a beaucoup d’expositions a travers le monde.
Ses photos et reportages ont été publiés aussi bien en Israël que dans toute la presse internationale (Stern, Le Monde, Le Nouvel Observateur, Time magazine) et le monde l’édition.
Il vit aujourd’hui aux alentours de Jérusalem, avec son épouse et ses 3 filles.
Fort de ses 25 ans d’expérience de photojournaliste, Nati Shohat est particulièrement doué pour la photographie du monde religieux.
Son regard saisit avec émotion l’intensité des moments de recueillement et des célébrations religieuses. Avec une composition photographique picturale, Nati Shohat capte avec profondeur les moments drôles ou insolites.
