Артем верен пленочной фотографии на протяжении всей своей творческой жизни. Он проявляет пленки в темной комнате и печатает фотографии при свете красной лампы. Он учился самостоятельно по книгам и продолжает оттачивать свои навыки фотографии и проявки пленки по сей день.
Артем работает только с черно-белыми изображениями. Он считает, что отсутствие цвета помогает сосредоточиться на главном, не отвлекая взгляд зрителя.
