Ludovic Cussigh is a versatile creator whose work spans the fields of sculpture, photography and painting. His artistic work is rooted in the search for primitive emotion and the relationship between man and the wild world, hence the name "Wild_Artefact" which combines these two concepts.
His passion for sculpture was born from a six-month experience as a stone-cutting intern on the Frioul Islands archipelago, off the coast of Marseille, in 1981. Since then, he has explored different aspects of sculpture, whether it be direct carving on stone or wood, modeling, plaster casting, or even the creation of marble sculptures. Ludovic Cussigh navigates between figurative and abstract sculpture, seeking to simplify the form to reveal the essence of each subject. His artistic approach is marked by the creative process where chance can play an unexpected role in the final realization of his works, making them unique and original "artefacts".
In addition to sculpture, Ludovic Cussigh also excels in jewelry creation, using various metals such as silver, copper, brass, bronze and iron to give life to unique pieces. He follows traditional jewelry manufacturing methods and guarantees the quality of his jewelry by affixing responsibility and warranty hallmarks, depending on the weight and material.
Photography and painting are also an integral part of his artistic expression. Through these mediums, Ludovic Cussigh explores other facets of his creativity, capturing moments, emotions and landscapes that inspire him.
Her artistic work reflects a life dedicated to the expression of beauty and creativity, where nature, form and emotion are constantly explored and celebrated.
