Künstler wurden immer wieder von dem Wunsch, der Realität zu entfliehen, um sich in einem Idyll niederzulassen, heimgesucht. So entstanden Bilder mit musizierenden Hirten und Schäferinnen, die in traumvollen Landschaften sich einem entzückend unbeschwerlichen Landleben hingaben. Die Arkadiensehnsucht bewegte Malergenerationen dazu, sich künstlerisch mit der Vorstellung einer von dem gesellschaftlichen Druck befreiten menschlichen Existenz im Einklang mit der Natur auseinanderzusetzen.
In seiner Serie "Verträumtes Land" erstellt Arsentij Pawlow Malerei, die das Motiv "Schäferszenen" umkreist.
Lyrisch und nachdenklich oder gewitzt und ironisch schildert der Künstler ein Idyll, das von Hirten, Schäferinnen und Tieren bevölkert wird.
Arsentij Pawlow is a contemporary award-winning artist based in Germany. Pawlow portrays the human being, his most fundamental needs, and relations. The rustic motifs are meant to depict the idyll that can be found in the simple living, rather than a mythical idyllic environment. The artist was awarded the Piepenbrock Art Award 2006 in the field of lithography and the 1st Prize of the Arts and Culture Foundation Georgsmarienhütte in 2008.
Arsentij Pawlow was born in 1983, in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He lives and works in Germany.
