Arne Vierlinger is an experienced artist in digital painting. He has had solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in various venues such as the Unimog Museum Gaggenau, the Obacht art fair in Munich and the Art Karlsruhe 5x from 2010 up to and including 2014. For 10 years he was also the 2nd board member of the Kunstverein Art Baden-Baden e.V.
Born in Munich in 1947, Arne Vierlinger recognized his passion for drawing as a young student and dreamed of becoming an artist one day. "I wanted to make art from a young age, but my father forbade it", says Vierlinger. At 18 he left his parents' house and traveled across the continents to work as a plumber or stage painter.
He became known in Munich as a celebrity painter through portrait drawings of Economics Minister Erwin Huber, Constantin Wecker, Father Anselm Grün, Günter Grünwald and many others.
Vierlinger has been living with his wife Marliese in a wine-growing community in Baden since the mid-1990s. Vierlinger uses the fantastically beautiful area as a source of ideas and runs his studio there.
Years ago he was still painting in oil and watercolor, but since 1992 he has been working with digital painting, which not only reminds us of works by Salvador Dali or Hieronymus Bosch, but often surpasses them in terms of flashes of inspiration. Superimposed layers show impressive compositions from the plant and animal world, merging with buildings and people.
