A la fin de la journée, j'aime prendre des bouts de papier et improviser: cette figure de nu féminin vient de cette liberté de fin de journée où c'est l'outil qui fait tout!
Puis parfois, un de ces petits sketchs devient grand, c'est le cas de celui ci.
Par nature le noir et blanc est parfait: pas de distraction venant des couleurs, des lignes, strictement des lignes, en direct de la main, produit de l'imagination et sans entraves.
Les bords sont frangés, papier de la meilleure qualité, 300 g, 100% coton.
A encadrer sur un fond de couleur (noir) pour que les bords inégaux soient visibles. Ils ajoutent au charme.

At the end of the day, I like to take a white drawing paper and improvise : this nude figure comes from such an "end of the day" free, loose lines.
I chose the best ones, and made them bigger.
Black and white is prefect by nature, doesn't distract with colors, just the line, only the line. Straight from the hand, from the imagination, very little in between.

Un récent projet m'a amené à réaliser pour le compte d'une grande société ce qui devait être une commande de 15 tableaux et se termina quelques mois plus tard par une réalisation finale de 90 tableaux.

His abstract paintings are defined as the pure joy of colors on smooth watercolor paper, flowing freely, along with the sharpness and graceful elegance of pen drawing. The inspiration at the origin of the work might be a phrase in French or in English, giving it its title.
Arnaud Faugas exhibits regularly in his hometown, in Paris, and also in the USA - most recently at the Stanford in Washington Art Gallery, in Washington, DC. His most recent project was a series of 90 paintings of the most prestigious winemaking chateaux in the Bordeaux area, which is now housed at the headquarters of a well known Bordeaux wine merchant.
