Arnaud Thévenin was born in Versailles, France, and grew up in Louveciennes, a small town in Yvelines that was a source of inspiration for many famous painters such as Sisley, Renoir and Pissarro. Strongly influenced by this artistic environment, Arnaud Thévenin developed an early passion for painting.
During his numerous travels, Arnaud explored and captured various landscapes and natural elements which had a profound impact on his work. An artist for over thirty-five years, he favors paper as his main support, but he also uses wood. His artistic techniques include gouache, watercolor, oil and Indian ink, allowing him to create works that are both abstract and figurative, imbued with originality and sensitivity.
Arnaud Thévenin draws his inspiration from masters such as Monet, Berthe Morisot, Vincent Van Gogh, Albert Marquet, as well as the Chinese painter Zao Wou-Ki, whose artistic approach has deeply influenced his own work.
