Ana Rita Janeiro

The act of painting comes as a necessity to show who I am and simultaneously to discover more about myself.
In this search for myself, I, Ana Rita Janeiro, Archaeologist and Social Worker, met Carlota Naif.
Carlota, nickname inherited from my maternal grandfather, represents the humanization of all good things: a happy childhood, my cultural roots and the celebration of the rituals that are in my DNA.
Naif, the artistic style in which I discovered how to express myself.
I like to paint on children's imagination, on trips and experiences already lived or still to live or on popular or elitist culture ...
What I seek above all else is to emphasize freedom of choice. The Freedom to be able to live such rich and diversified experiences. Freedom to choose what to paint and how to paint. The Freedom to strive for happiness and to have the opportunity to transmit to others this exercise of commemoration of life.
