At 45, I’ve come to see life as a dance between shadow and light—a truth I poured into this piece. When I painted these peonies, I wanted to honor their fleeting splendor, much like the moments in my own life that shimmer brightly before softening into memory. The coral, blush, and deep red hues? They’re more than colors; they’re heartbeats. I layered them thick and intentional, using acrylics to carve texture into every petal, almost as if the flowers could breathe off the canvas.

The dark backdrop isn’t just a contrast—it’s the weight of time, the quiet struggles we carry. Yet against it, these blooms insist on being seen. That’s the defiance I wanted: beauty persisting, even when the world feels heavy. My brushwork? It’s restless, alive. I lost hours chasing the curve of a leaf, the fold of a petal, my hands smudged with pigment. There’s a rawness in the impasto strokes, a tactile hunger I hope you feel when you stand close.

This painting isn’t just about flowers. It’s about how we, too, are luminous even when we’re fragile. How we’re layered, imperfect, yet still rise. When you look at it, I want you to taste that bittersweet ache—the kind that comes from loving something you know won’t last. That’s where the magic lives. That’s where we do.

An artist born in Ukraine, in the city of Zhytomyr. At the age of five, her mother noticed her talent for drawing and enrolled her in an art school. Thus, painting became one of the primary forms of art that captivated her forever.

Ariadna studied at several art institutions with different focuses, specializing in decorative and applied arts, which later influenced her artistic style. For some time, she worked in a floral shop, where she fell in love with the beauty of flowers and plants, a theme she now interprets in her paintings.

Another of her passions is psychology and art therapy, where emotions can be expressed through art. Her interest in emotions is reflected in her portrait paintings.

Her primary materials are acrylic and watercolor, though she often experiments with different techniques. This allows her to fully explore her artistic potential.

Her paintings mesmerize with their unique style and energy. Mainly specializing in interior art, her works can complement any home art collection or enhance the decor of a hotel, office, or restaurant.
