António Capella nasceu em Viana do Castelo. Viveu em Vouzela - Viseu até a adolescência.
E ainda adolescente fixou-se nos concelhos de Oeiras e Cascais. É neste último concelho que reside à mais de duas décadas.
Desde menino teve contacto vivo com a arte, recebendo estímulos de artistas plásticos, seus parentes próximos.
A par da formação em Gestão, estudou escultura, cerâmica e pintura com mestres nacionais.
Participou em várias exposições colectivas nos anos de 1997, 1998, 1999 e em 2000 realizou a sua primeira exposição individual de pintura, integrada na comemoração do terceiro aniversário da Galeria de Arte da Sociedade Musical de Cascais.
Desde aí tem exposto regularmente os seus trabalhos em Galerias Municipais e particulares pelo país. Está representado em algumas instituições oficiais e em coleccionadores de arte, tendo obras que fazem parte do acervo de algumas galerias
particulares.
É mencionado no livro Directório de Arte em Portugal e em algumas publicações da Câmara Municipal de Sintra.


António Capella was born in Viana do Castelo. As a teenager he moved to Cascais and Oeiras (Lisbon). He currently lives in Cascais. Since his childhood he was in close contact with all forms of art, receiving significant input from artists in his family. Besides studies in management, he has also studied sculpture, ceramics and painting with Portugal´s masters. He has participated in several collective expositions in the years of 1997, 1998 and 1999. In 2000 he achieved his first individual exposition, taking part in the celebrations of the third year of the “Sociedade Musical de Cascais” Art Gallery. Since then he has regularly exposed his works in county and private art galleries throughout all the country. He is present in most official institutions and art collections, having several paintings included in some of Portugal´s most significant private collections. He is also mentioned in the “Portuguese Art Directory” and in many City Council´s publications.


Em 2015, a obra "Sem Fuga I" foi escolhida, a par com outras de artistas de todo o mundo, para figurar no ibook "Bach, Casals and the six suites for cello solo", do guitarrista americano Steven Coff - us/author/steven-hancoff/id993277664?mt=11
