PHILISOPHYSICS: Contemporary painter whose sources of inspiration find their origin in the forms of elementarity immemorially known to man: the landscape, the earth, space and the forms of materiality of History. From these creative centers, several series of pictorial and artistic expressions arise, including the last one entitled "At the sources of the idea", which transposes ideas onto the support of matter, through the accuracy of the pictorial gesture. APPROACH: The islanders share as a common passion the history of their island. My pictorial expression finds its definition in the recording of emotions drawn from the Mediterranean world and my land, rich in passion and luminous. Getting to know yourself is the first step in order to transcribe as accurately, as closely, as sincerely as possible, the positive troubles that come for the most part from the depths of my memories, my oils on canvases created in shapes, colors and impasto reflect the Mediterranean, the material that composes them is History, the architecture would be Hellenic. Abstract writing corresponds to my state of mind, I capture the essence, the spirit of an idea, of an experience by expressing all my sincerity.

PRESENTATION: Antò Tomasini was born in a time of hope in Bastia and grew up with a poet father. A citizen of the Isle of Beauty, he maintains, like any islander, a passion for the history and landscapes of his island, which develops his artistic sensitivity very early and pushes him to want to express the emotions that he draws from the rich and luminous decor of the Mediterranean. Trained as a draftsman, he combined technical and artistic drawing in an architect's office and only started painting at the end of his studies. From the outset, pictorial gestures seemed familiar and pleasant to him. He first reproduced the paintings of the Fesch museum in Ajaccio, then testified to the beauty of the landscapes that surrounded him in the manner of the impressionists; until the day he remained stuck in front of a canvas with previously traced contours. It was only by deconstructing the work that Antò succeeded in completing it. He then crossed a threshold and began a reflection that would lead him to devote himself only to abstraction. Self-taught, he was able to freely express all the "artistic brutality" that was within him and make it palpable, particularly in his early works. Subsequently, his interest in art, his collaboration with an essayist and participation in conferences as a speaker, enriched his knowledge and established his artistic approach. The artist now intellectualizes his painting more. His subjects are thoughtful, studied and elaborated. "Landscape and history", "Reflection on war", "At the sources of the idea", so many themes and series of paintings with one thing in common: the reference to history and the call to memory. His works, painted in oil, always seek to express an emotion, a feeling rather than to "restore a resemblance".
