My recent paintings are titled Kokum Dreams. Mostly done in acrylic on canvas some of them are in mixed media also. Kokum is a kind of souring agent which is used to flavour curries in West coast regions of India particularly Goa. My paintings which have evolved only by visits to Goa rather than being a Konkani by birth - a kind of nostalgia which I may have incurred from old black and white photo albums, probably - is the basis of these works
