Annie Cicatelli, a journalist by profession, has always loved using textile art to express herself and to show us what her desires are. She also uses it to express certain feelings.
Initially, the artist was an embroiderer only out of passion. Annie Cicatelli now focuses her interest on deconstructed and raised elements as well as more particularly on crochet decoration.
A dual objective: to give crochet back the modernity that this technique deserves and to work mainly with recycled materials: wool, cotton, lace, buttons, pearls, etc.
Her textile works are most often abstract but extremely rich in material and color, which gives them a unique style that takes us straight into this universe that is hers!
