Large format wall hanging, this art brut tapestry is the third in a series. I question the link we experience with nature, plants, minerals and animals. A way to invite a little magic into our reality. So. for this tapestry, the antelope, the cat, the rabbit, the alcyon, the willow and the flowers are invited. The cat will guide us in communication, the rabbit in introspection, the alcyon will boost confidence. As for the willow, it reassures and consoles. And we all know the language of flowers. This magical scene, I embroidered it on raw and washed burlap. This scene comes from my imagination that I had sketched with pastels. fat, in a notebook. Then I traced directly on a canvas the willow that I cut out. And I placed it and hand-embroidered it on the burlap that will be the background. Gradually, I add and embroider the animals: the rabbit, the cat, the antelope. It was at the end that I flowered the tapestry. The yarns I use are mainly lurex yarns. And also jute threads that I prepare beforehand. Some are dyed. Step by step or rather point by point the tapestry comes to life. And I embroidered the chain stitch, the thorn stitch, satin stitch for the flowers, the knot stitch, the honeycomb stitch. In addition, I entirely covered the tapestry by hand stitching it. A band pass is planned to suspend it in hanging. The ideal is to put it on a bamboo or a beautiful branch in the garden. This embroidered tapestry while being magical, retains a. raw art look.
