Anna Wątróbska-Wdowiarska
In the years 1981–1987 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw , obtaining a diploma in sculpture in the studio of Stanisław Słonina (awarded with the Professor Marian Wnuk medal ) and an annex in medallion making in the studio of Zofia Demkowska. In 1986, she began her professional career as a medalist and sculptor. Author of, among others: the Virtus et Fraternitas Medal or a series of collector coins, including those commemorating the Smolensk disaster. His artistic achievements include over 200 minted medals. He cooperates with, among others: with the Mint of Poland and the National Bank of Poland. Member of the International Federation of Medallion Art and the Association of Polish Visual Artists, vice-president of the Polish Association of Medallion Art. Daughter of medalist and designer of Polish coins, Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is one of the most famous and recognized Polish artists specializing in medal art. She completed her specialization in this field in the studio of Prof. Zofia Demkowska. She completed her diploma in the studio of Prof. Stanisław Słonina. Her diploma work was awarded the Medal of Prof. Marian Wnuk. In addition to medal art, she also deals with sculpture and coin design. In her artistic achievements, she has over two hundred realized medals. Cast and struck medals of her authorship are in the collections of foreign and domestic museums and private individuals.
The artist has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including: International Medalist Congresses FIDEM in Helsinki, Budapest, Rapperswil, Neuchatel, The Hague, Weimar, Paris, International Biennial Medalist Exhibitions in Seixal, Portugal, "Warsaw Sculpture of the End of the Century", "Polish-American Medal Art Exhibition" in Colorado Springs, "Sacrum" in Kielce, International Medalist Competitions in Tel Aviv, XIV International Dantesque Biennale in Ravenna, Medailles polonaises contemporaines in Ville de Namur, exhibitions at the Museum of Medal Art in Wrocław and in Breisach am Rhein.
She is a laureate of numerous national and international awards. She has taken top places in many prestigious competitions, including: "Prize for the most artistically elaborated medal" FIDEM 1994 (Budapest), Competition for the medal XXV FIDEM CONGRESS (Neuchatel), International Medalist Competition "Masaccio 600" and "Anima Spiritus Violin" - Tel Aviv, International Monetary Competition of the Japanese Mint, Competition for the "Sejm Medal" (Warsaw). The artist is a member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists and the Fédération Internationale de la Médaille d'Art (FIDEM), and also serves as vice-president of the Board of the Polish Association of Medal Art at the Museum of Coins and Medals of John Paul II in Częstochowa.
In her work, through constant search for new forms of expression, pushing the boundaries of the technical possibilities of the material, as well as the boundaries of her imagination, she contains great reserves of emotion, intellect, and expression, which is the final goal of the artist. Anna Beata Wątróbska-Wdowiarska, a sculptor and medalist, is one of the most well-known and recognized Polish artists in these fields. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, specializing in medal making under the guidance of Prof. Zofia Demkowska. She completed her diploma in the studio of Prof. Stanisław Słonina, and her diploma work was awarded the Prof. Marian Wnuk Medal. Apart from medal making, she also engages in sculpture and coin design. In her artistic work, she not only limits herself to flat relief but also creates spatial sculptural forms, ranging from small to monumental. She has over two hundred realized medal works in her artistic portfolio. Her cast and struck medals are found in the collections of foreign and domestic museums as well as private individuals.
Beata Wątróbska-Wdowiarska is the recipient of numerous national and international awards, often winning top honors in prestigious competitions. The artist is a member of ZPAP and the Fédération Internationale de la Médaille d'Art (FIDEM), and she also serves as the vice president of the Board of the Polish Association of Medallic Art at the Museum of Coins and Medals of Pope John Paul II in Częstochowa. "The Medal," a prestigious journal published by the British Art Medal Society dedicated to the art of small relief, featured an extensive article on her work.
Anna Beata Wątróbska-Wdowiarska is also the author of two medallic works - a medal (a figurine from the Rosenthal workshop) and a plaque (Sons of Konstanty Laszczki) - created on the occasion of the 185th anniversary of the Museum in Płock, a plaque on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of secession in the MMP collections (Spring of Teodor Axentowicz), and a plaque on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Museum of Mazovia in Płock (Angel of Jacek Malczewski).
