I was born in Volgograd, on the banks of the Volga. My father was sent there to work from Moscow. Mom is from St. Petersburg, from a family of clergy. 

 Upon his arrival in Volgograd, my father was allocated land on Sarpinsky Island, an hour’s ride by boat from the city. He built a house there and we sailed there every weekend. I also spent the summer there. 

Sarpinsky Island is the largest river island in Europe, its length reaches 20 km and width – 18 km. The natural reserve, with an area of ​​more than 11 hectares, is washed on the eastern side by the Volozhka River, which was formerly called Sarpa, hence the name of the island.

Sarpinsky Island is an island with a long history, about which there are also legends. One of them says that the treasure of Stepan Razin himself is buried on the island.

There are numerous villages and hamlets on the island. The entire island is cut through by small bodies of water: there are about 25 lakes on the island, over 20 species of fish, marsh turtles, and the water muskrat are found in the eriks and lakes of the island. Sarpinsky Island is a place amazing not only for its nature, but also for the diversity of animals and plants. 

Every day I watched sunsets, sat for a long time on the shore and dreamed. Then I hadn’t painted yet, but all the pictures were in my head.

Then I went to Moscow, studied to be a lawyer, defended my dissertation, now I work in my profession, but painting didn’t let me go and I started writing.< /p>
