Self-taught and brimming with creativity, Anik Lapointe began her artistic journey in 2007, initially through atmospheric photography, particularly focusing on abandoned places (urbex and rurex).
Having felt a longstanding fascination with painting, it was in 2019 that she created her very first artwork. This marked the beginning of a newfound passion for abstract painting.
Utilizing a variety of mediums (acrylic, collage, pencils, etc.), she’s creating luminous abstract artworks. These pieces can sometimes features geometric, almost minimalist compositions while other times, they are full of movement. She explores different styles, always in the realm to fully unleash her boundless creativity.
She now lives in the Eastern Townships, in the province of Quebec, Canada.
