Ania M. Milo Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who
for Excellence in Fine Art

Ms. Milo’s unique style of art attracts followers and fans from around the Baltimore area

BALTIMORE, October 25, 2012, Ania Milo, Artist and Owner of Ania Milo Fine Art/Pure Emotion Art Studio, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fine art.
With two years of experience as the owner of Ania Milo Fine Art/Pure Emotion Art Studio, Dr. Milo creates abstract paintings and pet portraits in addition to her responsibilities in running the gallery, which include handling all aspects of the business, creating promotional advertising, writing proposals for gallery exhibits, and holding events at her studio. Dr. Milo emerged onto the art scene in early 2010. After developing her own unique style of art that utilized her passionate, expressive, and raw energy, she quickly found many admirers of her work. People are often able to identify with her paintings, especially with her pet portraits.
Dr. Milo received a postdoctoral degree in organizational and industrial psychology from Capella University in 2004, a master’s degree in leadership in teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 1997, and a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Maryland in 1994. She has also received a certificate in acquisitions from the Department of Defense. Dr. Milo is a member of the Creative Alliance in Baltimore City, the Northern Baltimore County Art Foundation, the Maryland Artisan Guild, and the Bay Country Art Guild. A prominent local artist, her art is frequently on display in museums and galleries in the Baltimore area. In years to come, Ms. Milo would like to grow her brand and presence nationally.

November 18, 2010 (Laurel, MD) – “Ascending Through the Darkness,” abstract drawings and paintings by Baltimore, Maryland, artist Ania M. Milo, opens Thursday, December 2, in the Himmelfarb Gallery at Tai Sophia Institute. An Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, December 9 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

In her debut exhibition, Ania M. Milo depicts her personal journey to wellness, self-discovery, and spiritual fulfillment. In her oil pastel drawings and acrylic paintings, Milo conveys how she discovered her authentic self through art. “When I begin painting or drawing,” said Milo, “I experience an urgent need to bring to life what is hidden inside me. Fueled by this passion, color explodes onto the page, and in that moment I experience a deep spiritual awakening… and my soul is set free into a world where anything is possible and no boundaries exist. Creating art is a way of discovering who I am.”

Milo’s abstract artworks flow with raw energy, and she uses her intuition and emotions to guide her hand in creating her images. Her use of color and movement invite the viewer to journey with her.
“I create not only for myself,” said Milo, “but for others who struggle with difficult experiences. I envision my artwork as a portal inviting viewers to step into each piece…into a safe place where they are comforted with the knowledge that they are not alone.”

Ania Milo emerged onto the art scene in early 2010 and making her own unique style of art with her passionate, expressive and raw energy, she quickly found many admirers of her work. Milo’s art is transformative and transmutative as she uses her own multifaceted emotions to create works that reach to the depths of the souls of those who view them.

Growing up in the most beautiful city of Eastern Europe, Krakow, until age 13, Ania was surrounded by the rich culture and fabulous art. Inspired by it, she felt there was something special she was meant to do in her lifetime, but it wasn’t until Ania was in her 30’s that she found it – it is ART!

Milo’s art is transformative, focusing on healing and personal growth and she hopes to deeply affect all those who view her work. Ania’s inspiration to paint comes from her emotional responses to world around her. She paints whenever her heart and soul call to her, either in distress or in overwhelming joy. And as the emotions pour out onto the canvas before her, she experiences a cleansing release and a feeling of deep satisfaction having shared a part of herself with the Universe.

Ania not only paint abstracts, but also express her love and admiration for animals by creating unique, whimsical and delightful animal portraits. The connection with each and every animal she paints is evident in all her finished portraits. She infuses the animals with their own life-force and when you look into their eyes, you can see into their souls.

Since 2010, Ania has exhibited in numerous galleries, shows and festivals. Her originals and reproductions are available through many artist websites and her paintings are in several Art and Photo books.
