I am La Mat, an Italian artist who tells the world of women through art. After 20 years in my atelier in Italy, I moved to Madrid to give new life to my painting in an international creative space.

In my project “Mujeres”, I paint women who cannot be explained, but who feel: sensual, strong, sometimes faceless, always complex. With a mixed technique that blends painting, collage and engraving, I explore the discomfort and beauty of being a woman today, between vibrant colors and patterns that hide deep stories.

My women speak without words, often accompanied by animals, and prefer authenticity to any convention.
