Growing up in modest circumstances, Angela learned the value of hard work early on, assisting her parents with the family finances by selling flowers, vegetables from their backyard, and her mother's crochet and embroidery.

In 1981, Angela held her first solo exhibition in Vitória, ES, and in 1987, Angela committed to Naïve painting after encountering Raquel Galena, a painter of the genre, in Embu das Artes, São Paulo. This marked a pivotal moment in her artistic journey, solidifying her dedication to the Naïve style. Angela's path has been one of solitary apprenticeship, characterized by relentless curiosity and determination.
