I was born in a tiny seaport of Klaipeda in Lithuania and was fascinated by the sea and it's mysteries all my life - thus spent many years as a sailor in a cargo ship industry and visited almost all continents (except Antarctica). My travels provide the inspiration and ideas for my paintings as I've seen and experienced many unique things, met many different people who shared their stories and dreams and aspirations. I taught myself how to paint in order to share the many things I've seen during my travels as I sailed around the world many times and was amazed at how beautiful our planet is. Technique is based on older, more traditional approach and I keep improving with every work produced.
