The painting represents the classic theme of Adam and Eve revisited in a modern way, with the human problems of our day, and with a little humor.
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil has been cut down, both because it has met the fate that all trees do today, and because what good and evil are has not been at the center of our interests for a long time. The snake has fled, both because it has no trees to climb and because man no longer believes in its personification of evil. Eva ate the whole apple, as selfishness permeates our lives more and more, and she realizes she is naked, trying to cover herself. Adam, not having tasted the fruit, has not yet realized that he is, and does not cover her nakedness, rather he exhibits it. Once the covenant with God is broken, diseases afflict humanity. The atmosphere is permeated with questioning glances about the future and the meaning of all this, above the masks, immersed in a landscape that is now almost lunar.

ABOUT MY PAINTING AND MY INSPIRATION:
"The human figure and the things that surround us are the focus of my attention in their timelessness and modernity, in the way I see or imagine." "Mine is the search for a relative realism, subjective and imaginary". Among other topics, current events, ecology, revisiting old arguments in a modern way, objects (especially coffee-pots) symbolizes human situations, and the portrait. I believe that painting should restore its narrative function, I want my paintings speak about us, our problems, our dreams, our feelings, with the utmost possible beauty".

Andrea Vandoni, a contemporary Italian painter, was born in 1972 in Novara, near Milan, where he currently resides and works. His passion for drawing and art was evident from an early age. This early inclination was nurtured through painting lessons and frequent visits to Italy's most renowned museums, art galleries, and art cities. These formative experiences laid the foundation for Vandoni's profound love for art and history.

Vandoni's artistic journey is deeply intertwined with his love for music. He earned his violin diploma from the Conservatory of his hometown and has performed as a musician, demonstrating his multifaceted talent.

His formal artistic education took place at the Scuola degli Artefici and the Scuola del Nudo of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. However, Vandoni regards his true education as the meticulous observation of masterpieces by great painters across time. This continuous study, coupled with his personal research, has been a constant source of inspiration and development for his unique artistic style.

For Vandoni, painting is a medium of self-expression and communication. His artistic research and inspiration are deeply rooted in the broad spectrum of human experience, transcending temporal and geographical boundaries. He explores every facet of this experience, from the mundane and domestic to the transcendent and metaphysical. His work often highlights the curious, funny, ironic, provocative, poetic, moving, and incomprehensible aspects of life. Through his paintings, Vandoni takes on a narrative role, transforming the autobiographical into the universal and the particular into the general.

The elements of his narrative can be seen in contemporary events, ancient subjects reinterpreted in a modern context, symbolic objects, and human figures that are subjects of psychological exploration. His style, described as "super realism," features a figurative approach that blends relative, subjective, and sometimes completely imaginary realism.

To convey his concepts and imbue his works with meaning, Vandoni emphasizes beauty. He meticulously attends to composition, color harmony, precise lines, and volumes defined by decisive chiaroscuro. Through these elements, he seeks to create works that reflect a calm, profound, and interrogative order.
