This is my tribute to the stern beauty of North-East Siberia with its famous capital of continental frost- Oymyakon. Anatoliy Nozdrin is a contemporary Russian painter whose journey in art began in his preschool years. Influenced by early visits to the Hermitage and the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg with his father, Anatoliy was deeply moved by Aivazovsky's painting "The Ninth Wave," which left a lasting impression on him.

His formal art education began at a prestigious art school where he studied under A.G. Patrakov, a highly regarded painter in the city. This training, grounded in strict academic principles, provided him with a solid foundation in painting techniques, composition, and drawing. He also benefited from master classes by the emerging painter A. Shevelev, whose exhibitions and work further fueled his passion.

Anatoliy's early experiences with nature—frequent walks with his father along the Volga and through local meadows—instilled in him a deep connection to landscape painting. This passion led him to study at the Yaroslavl Art College, where he focused on refining his skills through private lessons from landscape painters such as Patrakov, Bykov, and Shevelev, embracing the belief that mastery in art is learned through practice rather than formal instruction.

His career as an aeronautical engineer, which demanded adherence to rigid rules, led to a period of severe depression. It was through art that he found solace and a renewed sense of freedom. The works of Aivazovsky, Shishkin, Klodt, Rembrandt, and Levitan deeply inspired him, particularly the seascapes that reflected his desire for artistic and personal liberation.

Anatoliy has participated in private commercial exhibitions in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl, and Moscow, showcasing his expertise in capturing the essence of seascapes and landscapes. His work continues to reflect a profound connection to nature and a quest for artistic freedom.
