Aliénor De Cellès is a contemporary French artist born in 1972 in Saint-Raphaël. Immersed in the world of textiles from a young age, she grew up around tailoring, sewing machines, and the behind-the-scenes of fashion, which fueled her passion for art in various forms. Her upbringing in this creative environment shaped her multifaceted artistic path, where she embraces an unconventional and eclectic approach across her diverse artistic activities.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in plastic arts and a BTS in visual expression, De Cellès studied art sciences at the University of Toulouse in 1992, financing her education by designing textile patterns, drawing portraits, and creating mosaics for stores. In 1996, she moved to Paris to become the artistic director of the fashion house Blancs Manteaux, a role she held until 2015.
In 2002, De Cellès launched her own creative studio, Alienor, providing artistic services, costume design, and various creative projects. She began exhibiting her paintings and drawings regularly, and in 2007, she established her own brand, Mademoiselle Aliénor, specializing in small-run, custom, and semi-custom creations.
De Cellès has received numerous commissions for illustrations and costume designs, including collaborations with the Brazilian theater company Dos à Deux and costume designs for TV series and brands like Pink Lady. Since 2015, she has focused primarily on her painting and drawing, while also leading educational art workshops for young children and working as an illustrator for Larousse and Bash.
