Initially pursuing a career in engineering, her passion for fine arts eventually led her to transition into painting, despite initial controversy from those around her. She later earned a First-Class Honours Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.

Alida's work explores her cultural identity and its interaction with the social events that shape modern life.
