Artiste multidisciplinaire et autodidacte, Alexia Louis signe sous le pseudonyme d'Alexi. Elle explore principalement la peinture à l'huile. Elle vit avec son chien dans un appartement parisien lui servant d’atelier.
Dès l’enfance, elle ressent le besoin de créer comme le besoin d'observer et comprendre la nature, notre environnement d'existence. C’était donc naturel et spontané d’allier ces deux nécessités dans son travail et d’avoir une forte préoccupation pour rattacher l’humain à sa nature et au vivant.
Ainsi, notre rapport à la nature et au vivant inspire son travail. En mettant sur un même plan la chair, le corps, le cosmos, le monde animal, minéral ou végétal… Elle réunit dans un langage imaginaire de symboles et de formes des entités interdépendantes, au centre de l'existence. Elles gravitent les unes autour des autres comme une danse sacrée.
Peindre ces connexions autour de notre chair, est une manière pour elle de se rappeler que l’homme et la nature sont établis sur une dépendance mutuelle et un rapport d’échange.
