Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. Alexandra Galvez

France

Alexandra Galvez est une artiste peintre autodidacte, née dans le midi de la France, à Montpellier en 1974. Très vite ses parents sont partis vivre à la campagne où Alexandra passait le plus clair de son temps dans la nature à observer.
L’art a toujours été le moteur de ses actions. Le dessin l'a toujours accompagné partout.
De 26 à 28 ans, Alexandra est animatrice en art plastique dans l'association Orphée au Puy en Velay, en Haute Loire, auprès d'enfants, d'adolescents et en maison de retraite.
Après avoir essayé différentes techniques (encre de chine, pastel, modelage) quelques essais de calligraphie, à 27 ans, elle se tourne vers les crayons aquarelles, où elle réalise essentiellement des animaux et des fleurs.
Parallèlement elle a essayé de multiples moyens d'expressions, jonglerie, mime, musique, théâtre avec "La Compagnie du Jeu de Paume" à Pézenas.
En 2009, elle prend quelques cours de peinture pour apprivoiser les pinceaux, à l'Atelier Herdin à Pézenas et suis une formation de peintre en bâtiment.
En 2011, un stage en enduit chaux et terre à Eco-Lodève.
En 2012, elle suis une formation en décors à Béziers ainsi qu'en dorure à l'Atelier "tout ce qui brille " à Pézenas.
Depuis 2013, Alexandra est installée en Dordogne, dans le Périgord Vert. Dans un hameau où son amour pour la nature nourrit au quotidien sa créativité.
