Alexander Levich's "Spa & Wellness – I" is an exquisite representation of the human form, displaying a harmonious blend of subtle gradations and bold textures. Levich's approach to the canvas is one of reverence and understanding, as he captures the essence of his subject with a tender commanding presence. The artist's skillful manipulation of oil paints results in a depth of field that lends the piece a lifelike quality, blurring the lines between art and reality. The viewer is drawn into the painting by the soft curvature of the subject's back, a silent ode to the elegance of the human figure.

Levich's work speaks to the timeless fascination with the human body, its resilience, and its inherent beauty. In "Spa & Wellness – I," he moves beyond the physicality to touch upon the soul that resides within. The gentle brushwork and thoughtful composition create an ambiance of serenity and poise, a reflection of Levich's own meditative process in creating this piece.

This painting is an invitation to embrace the unadulterated charm of the figure, a call to acknowledge the allure of simplicity in form. Levich offers the observer a moment of peace, a break from the relentless pursuit of perfection that saturates modern life. Here, in the fluid lines and the calming palette, lies a profound commentary on the acceptance of self and the celebration of inherent individuality.

Levich’s artistry elevates the conversation about the portrayal of women in art, steering it away from the objectification and towards the veneration of their spirit and form. The canvas serves as a vessel for this discourse, with the water elements and reflective qualities acting as metaphors for clarity and depth. The artwork is an exploration of the intimate relationship between artist and muse, and ultimately, between the art and its beholder. "Spa & Wellness – I" is a contemplative work, rich in its quiet confidence and subtle storytelling. It stands as a piece that does not simply hang on a wall but enhances the space it inhabits, providing a source of constant discovery and renewal for the viewer. In the hands of a discerning collector, this painting promises to be not just an acquisition but an heirloom, embodying the enduring quest for beauty and truth in art.

Alexander was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 1987 he graduated from painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, workshop of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990 he is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Alexander's artworks may be divided into two periods.

The first period that lasted for over 20 years after his graduation from the Academy of Arts, from early 90th and up to 2010, was focused on the search of something new and unusual. He was experimenting with different styles, techniques, and themes. This is how Alexander arrived at a style that is abstract, as it does not depict anything that we know or what our eyes are used to, at the same time it is also, to certain extent, a figurative art, as it shows certain fantasy objects, inspired by classical music and literature, sea travels and explorations, love and friendship… Alexander calls that style an “Intellectual Abstraction" and promises that he will return to it someday.

Around 2010 Mr. Levich decided to go against the mainstream of abstractionism and turned to realistic artworks that are pleasant and comforting for the eyes, yet, contain a deeper meaning that provides our mind with a field for thoughts and “a joy of communication with yourself, your inner world, a luxury of harmony and solitude".

Alexander is also an author of monument “For the Inmates of Syretsky Camp", erected in 1991 to commemorate those imprisoned in this Kyiv sub-camp of Sachsenhausen during the Second World War. In 1992 Alexander Levich was a co-author (with Alexander Karunskiy) of the memorial sign “In Memory of Alexey Grischenko" in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
