Biografia
Alex Henk* was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1964.
First group exhibition: 1984
First solo exhibition: 1986
Fields of activity: Contemporary Art & Design
You have an opportunity to see rare ink artworks of Alex Henk here. They were resulted of his Desert Experiments performed within the last two decades.
"Usually, I work in my studio and use various mediums (Oil, Tempera, Acrylic, etc).But what will happen if the artist will be in a non-standard environment, practically without any tools and materials for work? Moreover, there is no nature around. No computer, smartphone, camera, TV, etc. Desert Experiments were performed to model such a situation. At my disposal were a limited number of ink colors, ink liners (black and brown), water, and A4 paper // except for a few cases when shaving brush was used :) //. Nothing else. Even no feathers for ink. Painting was done by stick, which is inside the bottle of ink. However, there was a great willingness to create artworks and 1 billion images in my head. The results are presented in this side-project." - Alex Henk

DEAR FRIENDS,
I HAVE COMMENCED TO PUBLISH ANOTHER SET OF MY OLD INK ARTWORKS ON ARTMAJEUR. IT WILL BE NOT MORE THAN FIVE-SEVEN ARTWORKS, AND I AM GOING TO STOP THE PUBLISHING IN JANUARY 2024.
