Diver (2022) Sculpture by Aleksandr Gerasimov

Aleksandr Gerasimov is a contemporary Belarusian artist known for his work in decorative sculpture and graphic design. He studied at the art and graphic faculty of Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov and is currently serving as an associate professor in the university's design department. His artistic practice spans a variety of techniques and materials, with wood being the primary medium in his work. He is drawn to the diversity of wood's colors, plasticity, and the various methods of processing and finishing it. In many of his pieces, he combines wood with decorative elements made of metal.

Aleksandr's art is characterized by a focus on the natural world, particularly animals and humans, with a significant portion of his work dedicated to dogs. Additionally, he explores modern abstract sculpture, which complements contemporary interior spaces. His works have been featured in both national and international exhibitions in countries such as Hungary, Denmark, Spain, and Russia. His pieces are held in private collections across the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Belarus.
