De 1976 à 1978, il passe deux années au Brésil et participe à plusieurs expositions à RIO et à SAO PAOLO.

En 1992, constatant un réel regain d’intérêt pour l’art figuratif, il suit les conseils de ses amis peintres et amateurs d’art contemporain et décide de se consacrer entièrement à la peinture.
Il perfectionne sa technique en copiant de nombreux artistes anciens et modernes.
Il travaille le portrait et les techniques anciennes des peintres hollandais (glacis et transparence ) et se consacre à des thèmes précis :

Il organise des stages d’initiation à la peinture ancienne de 10 jours en juillet et en août.

Sa peinture qui reste figurative bénéficie de ces techniques et se marie aussi avec d’autres techniques très contemporaines.
