The chine colle background is created onto acid-free tissue paper using watercolours. No two backgrounds of the edition are the same, and hence the variable edition.
The plate image is carborundum and drypoint. The two elements are transferred to Fabriano paper using an etching press.
The edition size is 20, and this is number 3 of the edition.

I am largely a self-taught painter/printmaker. I learned how to screenprint in late 1990s, and added further printmaking skills/techniques through workshops at Graphic Studio Dublin in 2012 (Carborundum, Photopolymer Intaglio and Monotype).
My subject matter is mainly landscape based - real and imagined.
I have exhibited my prints at RHA, RUA, International Print Center New York, Centre for Contemporary Printmaking, Norwalk, Connecticut, Eigse at Carlow Visual, Limerick Printmakers, Miniprint de Cadaques, Spain.
