Über Adriano Cuencas:
Adriano Cuencas wurde in Sao Paulo, Brasilien geboren und interessierte sich bereits in jungen Jahren für Mode und Urban-Art. Seit einigen Jahren verwandelt er seine eigenen digitalen Kreationen in atemberaubende Collagen aus Plakatabrissen und Postern. Die Motive, die er verwendet, sind meist Ikonen, die sich mit Erinnerungen an unsere Kindheit und Jugend verbinden und positive Energien freisetzen. Seine aussergewöhnliche Stilrichtung findet ihren Ausdruck in Bildern, die nicht nur Film- und Rockstars wie Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean oder Elvis Presley zu neuem Leben erwecken, sondern auch faszinierende Comics, Superhelden und Topmodels wie Kate Moss.
Jedes seiner Kunstwerke fertigt Adriano Cuencas in seinem Atelier in aufwändiger Handarbeit an und die Liebe zum Detail ist in jedem seiner Werke sicht- und spürbar. Einen Glücksbringer (5 Rappen) und ein kleines Herz „Made with Love“ versteckt er in allen seinen Werken. Für seine aufwändigen Pop-Collagen nutzt er Ausschnitte aus alten Plakaten und Postern und veredelt sie mit Spray, Glitter, Acrylfarben, Steinen, Metal Cuts und Stoff. Durch diese Veredelung entstehen spannende Kompositionen, die mit ungiftigem, zertifiziertem Kunstharz (Resin) versiegelt werden, um dem Kunstwerk einen frischen „Hochglanz-Effekt“ zu verleihen. Die unregelmässigen Formen, die durch die Collagen entstehen, geben interessante Umrisslinien vor und machen seine Kunstwerke zu tollen Wanddekorationen.
Im Jahr 2018 gelang ihm der internationale Durchbruch und mittlerweile hängen seine Werke von Dubai über Singapur bis nach São Paulo, Wien, Barcelona, New York, Paris, Monaco, Zürich und Frankfurt in vielen Galerien und privaten Sammlungen.
