Il progetto Curvia nasce nel 2008 dall'incontro delle giovani menti di Achille Viggo Calegari e di Marco Baldessari, votate alla ricerca di uno stile fotografico ed illustrativo d'avanguardia.
Figli l'uno di un padre fotografo e l'altro di un genitore architetto, iniziano insieme l'esplorazione di tecniche narrative surrealiste, traendo ispirazione tanto dalla fotografia contemporanea quanto dall'arte classica e moderna, con particolare attenzione ai princìpi della pittura metafisica. Lungo il loro cammino artistico incontrano Vincenzo Carucci, giovane studente come loro, appassionato, fin dalla tenera età, di fotografia analogica. Sotto la guida di Calegari il gruppo ha così realizzato e continua a realizzare numerose serie fotografiche.
