En conséquence, la musique de Gnawa a pris une nouvelle direction en fusionnant sa musique spirituelle de base avec des genres similaires comme le jazz , le blues , le reggae et le hip-hop . Chaque été pendant quatre jours en juin, le Festival accueille des musiciens célèbres qui participent, échangent et mélangent leur propre musique avec la musique Gnawa, créant l'un des plus grands festivals publics du Maroc ainsi qu'une des meilleures jam sessions de la planète. Depuis ses débuts en 1998, les concerts gratuits ont attiré un public de festival qui est passé de 20 000 visiteurs à plus de 200 000 en 2006, dont 10 000 visiteurs du monde entier.
Within the framework of the Gnaoua World Music Festival in Essaouira (Gnaoua and Musiques du Monde), the Gnawa play in a secular context with slight religious or therapeutic dimensions. Instead, in this musical expression of their cultural art, they share scenes with other musicians from all over the world.
As a result, Gnawa's music has taken a new direction by merging its basic spiritual music with similar genres like jazz, blues, reggae and hip-hop. Each summer for four days in June, the Festival welcomes famous musicians who participate, exchange and mix their own music with Gnawa music, creating one of the largest public festivals in Morocco and one of the best jam sessions on the planet . Since its debut in 1998, free concerts have attracted a festival audience that has grown from 20,000 visitors to more than 200,000 visitors in 2006, including 10,000 visitors from around the world.

From an early age I display an enterprising and independent temperament, occasionally rebellious or rebellious.
I was born in Meknes, part of the imperial cities of Morocco. A city marked by its olive trees, historical monuments and various traditions. I lived in a spiritual and meditative atmosphere. I was fascinated at school by the paintings of the great masters, but I am refractive to all artistic teaching. It is therefore self-taught that I undertake my own pictorial explorations,
It is true that the school trains painters; Becoming an artist is another approach that can not be learned at school. I am attracted by any landscape that appeals to expressionism. This has influenced my paintings, which tackle the Moroccan landscape, traditions and historical monuments. but which greatly influences my painting are the famous landscape paintings like: Nicolas Poussin and his scholarly landscapes. Giovani Antonio Canal and his urban works. Eugène Boudin with his marine landscapes. Van Gogh and his tormented landscapes. And above all Caspar David Friedrich and his spiritual works.
