Aaron Dougherty's story as a photographer began at age 9, when he convinced his father that he wouldn't crash his Argus C-3. A love of photography seemed to run through his veins, as his paternal grandfather was himself a photographer and captured "stereo" images with a camera that he aimed from below, the camera body pressed against it. his forehead. It was this grandfather who gave him his very first camera, a square Kodak Brownie using large rolls of 120 film.

The love for photography didn't stop there in his family. His father's father-in-law was passionate about cameras, and he introduced them to brands such as Alpa, Exakta, Canon, and many others. Additionally, her great aunt Ivy was a talented photographer and art teacher. All this to say that Aaron inherited a natural passion for photography from his family.

Aaron lives and works in Kansas City, where he studied architecture and earned his bachelor's degree. For almost 30 years, he worked as an architect before turning to architectural photography as a professional.

His life and career are thus marked by photography, architecture and a passion for capturing the world around him. Born in 1958, Aaron Dougherty continues his visual exploration in Kansas City, Missouri, in the United States.
