Patrícia Trindade is a portuguese artist, from Porto, place where she lives and works. She have a degree in Plastic Arts and a master degree in Painting at Fine Arts University of Porto.
Since 2013 she has participated in open calls, prizes and exhibitions in different countries (Portugal, Spain, France, Mexico, Montenegro, USA, etc), and in 2018, she won the prize Premio Fondo de Adquisición de Pintura “Antonio López García”, in Certámenes Artísticos “Ciudad de Tomelloso”, in Spain.
In 2014, she started a project titled “O Nu Enquanto Pretexto” (The Nude as a Pretext) that have the naked male body as its primary object. This choice of object has given rise to different reflections, especially those questioning the roles of both sexes in iconographic representations of nudity. This project has still been developed and includes a series of paintings and drawings.
Also, she paints portraits of people and cats, using the same search for chromatic and compositional harmonization, resorting, sometimes, to the introduction of new elements or patterns that she assembles in Photoshop.
She has artworks in public collections of international museums, as well as in private collections throughout Europe.
