Zofia Kubicka is a Polish sculptor, performer and educator whose work is distinguished by deep reflection on femininity, intimacy and the relationship between man and nature. Born in 1966, she graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1994, studying under Prof. Jan Kucz. Her works are in private collections in Poland, Spain, the US, Italy and England.

Kubicka often explores themes related to femininity, such as motherhood and intimacy, depicting them through the lens of everyday life. Her sculptures depict non-ideal forms of the female body, in which viewers can find their own experiences. The artist avoids realistic representation, creating the illusion of reality through sparing gestures and subtle imagery. Her works exude the energy of existence, and emotions are expressed through gestures and movements full of mystical sensitivity. She works with a variety of materials, but her favorite medium is bronze, prized for its durability and the warmth it exudes. In her work, nothing is accidental; even seemingly understated details play an important role in the message. The artist's creative process is intuitive and deeply personal, and she often interrupts her work so as not to disturb it with an excess of thought. Her sculptures are created by hand without the support of modern printers and computer programs, This makes her works authentic marked by human imperfection,

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the DAP Gallery in Warsaw and Kasztel in Szymbark. In 2024 she was awarded a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

Zofia Kubicka's work is a combination of subtlety, lyricism and deep reflection on the essence of humanity, making her sculptures unique works of contemporary art.
