biography

I was art teacher for both Primary and Secondary Schools in China, now I am retired I devote all my time to painting and drawing, most of my works are inspired by nature, I love to draw animals and pets, and I like to imagine some stories around my animals . Recently I start doing Chinese paintings too, and I like it very much, Chinese painting is the integration of the symbolic and the real which fits very well with my temper, in fact all my paintings are not just simple reproductions of reality, they are integrations of elements which reflect my tendency for dream-like imageries.
Here is a poem inspired by my philosophy towards painting.
When you wake up in the morning
Be grateful for the sunlights
For good health and creative energy
Most of all for being a painter
No matter if you are great or small
No matter if you can sell or not
Because if you can paint
You are blessed with eyes to see all the wonders of the world
Think of those blind people and you can't find
Any reasons for their deprivations
You have no reason not to be grateful for being a painter.
