Né à Oran en 1954, il a grandi dans la ville d'arles, aux portes de la Camargue .
Il découvre son goût pour la peinture à l'âge de 35 ans en copiant des oeuvres d'artistes connus, puis des paysages peints sur place..
Sa rencontre en 1990 avec le Peintre Marseillais Yvan Daumas, professeur aux Beaux Arts à Marseille , lui permettra d'assister à ses cours en candidat libre . Cet homme est devenu son ami et l'a encouragé à laisser son art libre sans se préoccuper d'obligation ou de perfection...
Il s'est alors orienté vers la peinture abstraite , qui lui donne la chance de s'évader sur ses toiles.
