There is no definitive answer to the message my work seeks to communicate.

I begin my work with mixed feelings between ‘feeling-self’ and ‘conscious-self’.

We cannot logically explain cause and effect in our attitudes and expressions, and after they are expressed, we only insert them into the logical flow.



Me, self-portrait with femininity, myself, the revelation of the unconscious rather than conscious expression, and the indifferent attitude expressed in it are the parts I focus on.

Through ambiguity and omission, I capture and describe those moments by observing unconscious attitudes, gestures, and small moments of behavior that we did not expect.

So the most direct facial feeling and expression are not essential.



Usually, my work begins with expressing the emotions of that small moment when I see an unspecified image, an object, a person, or a space.

Depending on affectivity at the time of work, slightly different emotions are blended together.

And when combined with notes from passing times, one work is completed.

Therefore, all my works are just my little ‘Self-portrait’ and ‘my story’.

These are the moments in life that I and we pass by without intention.



Along with this, the focus of my work is to create an ambiguity that allows my work to be interpreted differently depending on the viewing point and time by recalling and imaging one's own experiences, memories, and memories through my work.
