Dust No.2 (2016) Peinture par Youcai Hong

"Dust" series is the extension of "Star" series. The night sky is deep and mysterious, triggering infinite imagination and leading people out of the secular world. In the enlightenment era, Kant said:"Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe, the oftener and the more steadily we reflect on them: the starry heavens above and the moral law within."
During the creation process of "Star" series, my thinking flows towards two opposite directions, each wrestling with the other. So "Star" is just like the bright side and the dark side within our heart, either forming a strange galaxy, or a colorful nebula with scattered, romantic starlight.
The physical world itself is objective in the "Dust" series. In the art world, there are people who advocate traditions and others who oppose tradition. Some hold high of their ideas, while others combat against those ideas. The art world is subjective, while the physical world is objective. Truth is immutable and inspiring, however, always overlooked or covered, just like the countless "Dust" placed in the universe!

Biography of Youcai Hong
Youcai Hong was graduated from oil painting department, South China Normal University. He is also a member of Artist Assoication, Tianhe, Guangzhou.
