Biography
Né à Beersheva en Israel en 1961, de parents très croyants, Yoel Benharrouche est initié dès son plus jeune âge aux textes bibliques. Après avoir passé 20 ans en France à apprendre la peinture puis à l'enseigner, il retrouve sa terre natale en 1993 et s'installe aux portes du désert de judée dans un cadre grandiose, insipirant et chargé d'histoire.
Jérusalem est omniprésente dans l'oeuvre de l'artiste, ses oeuvres sont présentes dans de nombreuses collections internationales.
