Wolfgang Tolk confronts the uncertainty in all questions with the often deceptive certainty of an answer. To him this is closer, more plausible and often more sympathetic. In the „German informal teachings“ of his professor Gerhard Hoehme and his painter friend and mentor Raimund Girke, inspired by Mark Rothko's New York school, Wolfgang Tolk succeeds in discussing the waves between inner and outer reality. This applies to his entire oeuvre. Their sensuous presence and this spirit can be felt in all disciplines.
