Despite the presence in this work of a light feminist vibe and the desire to tell through it about a "strong and purposeful woman", it is first of all about self-love, about accepting one's fragility, one's femininity, despite the outwardly aggressive and ambitious appearance. In the process of working on it, her features softened, her look softened, but it didn't stop her glowing with inner strength. I didn't like it for a long time, I ruled the portrait countless times, trying to give her brutality, "spikes" - but she stubbornly remained herself.

And I realized that you can't go against nature. The inner strength of a woman, with the help of which she can roll mountains - in the duality, in the combination of beauty and analytical mind, in the natural intuition and cold calculation, in the wildness and eccentricity - and in love for comfort and home, in softness to others and ambitiousness in achieving goals.

Although I don't like the banal technique of associating women with flowers, here I realized that the rose is best in this context.

This painting is an ode to the woman as she is, no matter what.
