Volha Trus

    My name is Volga Trus.  I was born in Belarus and I live in Belarus.

  I started drawning at age 1,5 years old. The painting was my favorite thing to do. Since I was child I had an inspiration from paintings of Henri Matisse. When I was looking at drawings of this famous artist I draw portraits within 5 minutes by quick and easy lines. The most beautiful and mysterious in a human it’s the eyes. The sight this what I wanted to depict in my paintings.

  I didn't go to art school but despite of it I got Bachelor Degree in art, in Vitebsk State University of Technology. Major - fashion designer. I was working as a fashion designer many years but few years ago I returned to drawing.

  Some of my paintings are in private collections in Belarus, Russia and abroad.

I am a member of the professional union of artists of Russia.

  I draw in different styles: naturalistic drawing, abstract acrylic painting, concept art and watercolor. My style is characterized by saturated colors. In my works, I strive to convoy emotions, feelings inside me, happiness from contact with the word. I feel all the emotions such as pleasure, sadness, anger and joyful I like everyone does. Art gets me away from the monotony of everyday life and opens a window to a place where everything is possible. For an artist, it is important to fully immerse himself in the present moment, here and now. Through creation of my art, I am able to feel the presence of a higher power expressing how I feel.  My process starts from a random image, but more often than hot it will be transformed fully into something new. I compare my creative process to meditation or putting myself in state of mindfulness.
