"Layers of the Past" is one of the paintings from my “Shadow Migration” series. This series reflects my search for an inner sense of home and belonging in times of change. Breaks and fragments symbolise the inner conflict between past and future, while semi-transparent layers suggest overlapping memories with the present. The contrast between cool and warm colour tones expresses the struggle between fear and hope, doubt and acceptance.

Abstract natural elements in the work are reminiscent of the connection with nature, which helps to regain inner balance and grounding. The interaction with nature becomes an anchor for me that leads me back to harmony, where I can find support and feel my belonging to something greater than myself.

The main source of my artistic exploration is nature, where I find harmony and a deep understanding of life.
